I have deceided that I will soon be giving the 'Orbs' a bit of a break, and getting back to some other styles of Light Painting. And so, this will be one of the last I post for a while.
Adios Orbs (well, soon!). It has been a lot of fun!

The In Between

The In Between, originally uploaded by Pikebubbles.

Well, sadly I am not able to make it out on night shoots much at the moment due to other ongoing commitments (darn assignment!) but I am hoping that November will be a month where I can focus more on making new work. Roll on November...

As I watch on

As I watch on, originally uploaded by Pikebubbles.

The stars have been just amazing lately, and I really wanted to make the most of some star trail shots while the night sky is so clear. This was taken at Port Soif on 30/09/11, an incredibly mild and clear evening.

Shelter

Shelter, originally uploaded by Pikebubbles.

Sadly due to other important commitments I have not been able to make as much new work as I would have liked. But thankfully due to the amazing weather we have had throughout September and even into October, I have managed to make it out a few times.

Many thanks to the Guernsey Press who recently took an interest in my work, and published an article on my Light Paintings.

I am very proud of our local newspaper here on the Rock, and very humbled that they published such a large article on what I do.

A very happy chappy!

I thought I would share this image in my Blog as I can see myself making a series of relections soon.

This last week has been just incredible with all the extra attention my work has been receiving, and the experience so far has been both very exciting and very humbling. In case anyone is interested in reading any of the articles that have been published online, here are a few useful links:

Electric Vazon

Electric Vazon, originally uploaded by Pikebubbles.

I always find myself looking back at this image whenever anything significant happens with regards to my Light Painting. This was the first light painting that I ever made back in 2009, and holds very fond memories.
Recently my work has received some very welcome attention on the internet which you can check out at any of the following links:

The Bunker

The Bunker, originally uploaded by Pikebubbles.

Well, it was only a matter of time before I turned my attention to lighting up some of Guernsey's fantastic bunkers, and so here is my first effort so far. This bunker is an absolute beast, and my friend Kelvin and I decided to brave it and venture inside with only a couple of torches to see if we could illuminate each of the openings. Not to be recommended after dark...

Just for Kicks..., originally uploaded by Pikebubbles.

As it has been such an incredible week on Flickr for my Light Paintings, I thought a cheeky little Scout poster was in order to celebrate the crazy number of views Flickr Explore has helped me achieve. So...thanks Flickr Explore - it has really put an amazing cherry on top of this last week. Nearly 15,000 views in 7 days. I am simply amazed...

The sun had just disappeared, and so it was time to get the lights out. This is one of my favourite spots on Guernsey, especially at sun down.
